The Artist:

Anne Mourier is a French-born conceptual artist dividing her time between New York and Venice. Working across photography, glass, embroidery, paper, installations, performance, poetry, and prose, her practice is united by a sustained investigation of the Feminine archetype. Her work has been exhibited at international venues and is held in prestigious private collections, as well as the collection of the Watermill Center and the MoMA library in New York.

In a time of global turmoil and relentless exposure to distressing images, Mourier chose to counteract with softness, rest, and poetry. Rooted in her belief in the power of images and thought to shape the world we inhabit, this work invites the viewer to pause and reimagine.
